Athlete training at dawn in a small Colorado plains town
Born in a small town. Built for every town.

We built StatSnap because nobody was coming to find us

In a town where the only scouts were for the Boy Scouts, we learned that talent without data is invisible. So we built the platform we wished existed when we were trying to get noticed.

I grew up in a town called Strasburg, Colorado. Population 2,800 on a good day. Sitting on the high plains about an hour east of Denver off I-70, it was the kind of place where everyone knew your name, your parents, and your 40 time -- but nobody outside the county line ever heard of you.

Our high school was Class 2A. We shared a weight room with the middle school. We didn't have a strength coach or a nutritionist or a Rapsodo machine. We had Coach Giger, who taught Health during the week and ran football practice after school.

But here's the thing about small towns: you don't know what you don't know. When your competition is a handful of other small schools in your conference, you think you're good. Maybe even great. You dominate on Friday nights and everybody in town tells you how special you are. But you have no idea how much better the athletes are at the bigger schools -- the 5A programs with real facilities, real film rooms, and real recruiting pipelines. The small amount of competition kept us in a bubble, and nobody had the data to pop it.

I thought I had the numbers. But I didn't have perspective -- or access. I couldn't afford the recruiting websites. I didn't know how to make a highlight reel. Coach Giger didn't have connections to D1 programs because he'd never played at one. And the scouts? They were busy watching athletes at showcases that cost more than my family spent on groceries in a month.

I watched kids with similar stats -- sometimes worse stats -- commit to programs I couldn't even get to return an email. Not because they were better. Because they were visible. They had the platforms, the coaches with connections, the data presented in a way that recruiters could trust.

StatSnap exists so that the next kid in the next small town doesn't have to wonder "what if."

The road from Strasburg to here

Every feature in StatSnap was born from a real problem we faced. This is how frustration became a platform.

Growing Up

A small town, a big dream

Population 2,800. One stoplight. Flat plains stretching to the horizon in every direction and Denver an hour west but a world away. The nearest travel team was a long drive down I-70. There were no showcases, no recruiting camps, no scouts in the stands. Just a kid with a stopwatch, a notebook, and a dream too big for the county limits.

High School

Invisible talent

By junior year, I thought I was one of the best around. Dominated our small conference, heard my name on the loudspeaker every Friday. But that was the problem -- I had no idea how I actually stacked up. With so little competition, there was no way to know where I really stood. The recruiting websites cost money the family didn't have. The highlight reels required equipment the school couldn't afford. Talent without perspective is just potential with an expiration date.

The Realization

It wasn't about talent

The first time I saw what the 5A kids looked like -- the speed, the size, the polish -- it hit hard. Athletes I thought I could compete with were levels ahead, and I never even knew it. The gap wasn't just talent. It was exposure and access. Growing up with so little competition meant I had no real benchmark. A kid out on the plains east of Denver simply didn't have the same tools, data, or visibility as a kid at a $40,000-a-year prep school.

The Build

If it doesn't exist, build it

StatSnap started as a spreadsheet. Then a side project. Then an obsession. The vision was simple: give every athlete -- regardless of zip code, school budget, or family income -- the same data-driven tools that elite programs use. Real analytics. Verified benchmarks. A profile that speaks directly to recruiters in a language they trust: numbers.

Today

50,000 athletes and counting

What started as one kid's frustration is now a platform serving athletes across all 50 states. From small-town gymnasts to inner-city basketball players, from homeschooled swimmers to rural track stars. The mission hasn't changed: make talent visible, no matter where it comes from.

"Every stat is a story. Every athlete deserves to have theirs heard."

What we believe

These aren't corporate values printed on a poster. These are the principles we test every decision against.

Access Over Privilege

Every feature we build starts with a question: would this help the kid who has nothing but talent? If the answer is yes, we ship it.

Data You Can Trust

Coaches and recruiters need verified numbers, not inflated self-reports. Every stat on StatSnap is timestamped, sourced, and auditable.

Community First

We serve athletes, coaches, parents, and recruiters -- not advertisers. Our users are our stakeholders. Their success is our business model.

Relentless Improvement

The same discipline we expect from our athletes, we demand of ourselves. Ship fast, listen hard, and never stop iterating.

Built for the kid running sprints on a gravel road

We know who our users are because we were our users. The athlete practicing in a garage gym at 5 AM because the school weight room doesn't open until 7. The parent driving three hours each way for a club tournament and wondering if anyone with a clipboard is watching. The coach who knows they've got a special kid but doesn't have the recruiting network to prove it.

StatSnap bridges the gap. We give athletes the same data infrastructure that elite prep schools use -- verified benchmarks, device-synced performance data, AI-powered training insights, and a recruiting profile that lets the numbers do the talking. And we start at free, because talent shouldn't have a paywall.

Whether you're a freshman in rural Montana tracking your first vertical jump, a senior in the Bronx trying to get noticed by D2 programs, or a parent in suburban Ohio wondering if your kid has what it takes -- this platform was built with you in mind. Not the athlete who already has everything. The one who has only their performance.
