1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: account registration details (name, email, role), athletic performance data you log, profile information (sport, position, school, location), and payment information processed through our payment provider. We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and session timing.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and improve the Service; personalize your experience and benchmarking data; process payments and manage subscriptions; send service-related communications; generate anonymized aggregate statistics about athletic performance trends; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
Your recruiting profile and performance data are visible to recruiters and coaches you connect with through the platform. You control your profile visibility in your account settings. We share data with trusted service providers (hosting, payment processing, analytics) who are contractually required to protect your data. We may disclose data when required by law.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
StatSnap takes the privacy of minors seriously. Users under 13 may only use the Service with verifiable parental consent. Parents or guardians may review, modify, or delete their child's account data by contacting us at privacy@statsnap.app. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.
5. Data Security
We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, Row Level Security on our database, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we are committed to protecting your information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated performance data may be retained indefinitely to improve benchmarking accuracy.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; export your data in a portable format; and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@statsnap.app or use the settings in your account.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management (via Supabase). We also use analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics) to understand how the Service is used. Analytics data is anonymized and does not identify you personally. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
